How can I locate a particular listing on my landlord page without scrolling all the way through my list of properties?
If you Hold down the "Ctrl" button and push the "F" key at the same time a "Find" box will pop up at the left side of your screen, just below the toolbar. Then you can put in the address you are trying to find, such as E 24th 1905, and the browser will find that text for you.
I saw a house on the website yesterday and today I can't find it.
Answer:
Most likely, it does not show up because it has already been rented. If you'd like to know for sure, you can call us and we can check our master list.
When I click on the 'map' feature, it brings up a map but I don't see anything that indicates where the property is.
Answer:
When the map comes up, it is not necessarily positioned right where the property is. To the right of the address bar, which already has the address typed in, there is a button that says "search maps". Click on that button and it will bring up the correct area on the map. There will be a locator flag over the correct address. If you hold your left mouse button down over the map and drag it, the map will move.
How do I search for properties that will allow pets?
Answer:
Click on the property search tab on the left hand side. All available properties will come up. There is a sentence at the top of the properties....."Properties listed below are sorted by the most recently added properties first. If you would like to perform a search on our listings,
click here. " That will bring up a page with an option to check 'cat' or 'dog'.
As a landlord, do I have to re-enter my properties every time they become available for rent?
Answer:
No. That is the convenience of this site. You enter all of your properties one time. When the status of the property changes, you simply log in with your information, locate the listing and change the status with one click. (When the flag is red, the property will not show up on the website. When it is green, it will show up on the website.) Your property information stays in the system but only shows up on the website when you want to get calls on it.
As a landlord, if I need to change the rent amount, do I need to call you to do that?
Answer:
No. You can edit all of your property information yourself. Simply log in with your user name and password, locate the listing that needs to be changed, make the necessary changes and click the submit tab at the bottom. However, if you need assistance, you can always call.
I forgot my landlord password.
Answer:
If you forgot your password, click on the landlord log in tab and click on the sentence below the log in box and a new password will be sent to your email address.
How do I add pictures to my property listings?
Answer:
You have to have a digital photo already saved onto the computer that you are working on. After you log in, go to 'manage my listings' and locate the listing that you want to load the picture to and click on the picture icon (little film strip). Click on 'add new photo' and it will direct you from there. You can load up to 5 pictures per listing. The first picture that you load will show up as the main photo.
How do I define a search for specific things?
1. On the home page, click on the blue 'properties' tab.
2. At the top of the page there is a sentence....Properties listed below are sorted by the most recently added properties first. If you would like to perform a search on our listings,
click here. Click on those words and it will bring up drop down lists that will define your search.
How do I change my password?
Once you have logged on to your landlord page with the "jibberish" password that was emailed to you, in the upper left corner click on the option that says
edit your information. Then click on
Edit Contact Information. At the bottom of that page there is a box to enter a
New Password. Then click on "submit".
